According to the Trump campaign, a plane that was carrying JD Vance, Republican vice presidential nominee had to make an emergency landing in Milwaukee because of door malfunctions as reported by US Today.
The pilot of a just departed Boeing 737 noticed a problem with the door seal and had to return it.
Campaign spokesperson Taylor Van Kirk said that the ground immediately took care of the matter and the plane later continued its journey to Cincinnati. “Door seal malfunction,” explained Van Kirk who added that this was handled quickly.
Vance, Ohio’s senator and ex-president Donald Trump’s running mate, was returning from campaigning for his re-election at the Milwaukee Police Association. Reports covering the event accompanied him there; his wife Usha, their German Shepherd Dog, as well as some journalists were also in attendance.
This follows another aviation scare for Trump’s team when last week his plane had to divert over Montana after experiencing mechanical issues.
