It was a powerful endorsement at the Democratic National Convention that electrified the attendees when former President Barack Obama said “the torch has been passed” to Kamala Harris, ushering Democrat’s new era in the US. Obama spoke to a crowd that nearly filled the arena praising Vice President Harris as “ready for the job” and someone who does not give up fighting for Americans who are needy.
Obama’s remarks were met with enthusiastic applause and they showcased Harris’ determination and preparedness for the presidency, “Kamala Harris is ready for the job. This is someone who has devoted their life to people in need,” he stated stressing further her dedication towards serving the public. He labeled Donald Trump as “dangerous,” exposing a sharp difference between these two rivals.
His endorsement had a call-and-response like his own campaign slogan where he repeated it several times asking for yes she can with an answer of his supporters chanting back at him in agreement. Repeating yes we can, this mantra summarized optimism and unity within the party that echoed throughout.

While continuing to attack her like calling her an “anti-police” activist ,Trump seems to be taking a lead over Biden in terms of campaign strategies. Democrats, who put up a strong show at the convention and got some high level endorsements are going into the general election with renewed energy.
Harris, who was very warmly received in Chicago is set to continue her campaign with a major event in Milwaukee which epitomizes increasing interest in her while highlighting dwindling numbers attending Trump events.
