Moo Deng, the viral pygmy hippo in a Thailand zoo, has predicted Donald Trump would win the US election 2024 as Moo Deng picked a watermelon with Donald Trump’s name carved on it in the local language. The video of the moment when Moo Deng picked Donald Trump over Kamala Harris was filmed Monday — a day before Election Day — at the Khao Khewo Open Zoo in Chonburi, eastern Thailand. Moo Deng was called out of the water for the crucial test. The other hippo with Moo Deng picked Kamala Harris.
Since her birth in July, Moo Deng has been a viral sensation both online and offline. She has singlehandedly increased the footfall in the zoo, but the officials limited her public time because visitors were disturbing her. Now, Moo Deng is visible only for five minutes on the weekends.
Moo Deng became an online sensation after her videos were shared on a dedicated TikTok page. Her name which means “bouncy pig” was chosen by more than 20,000 visitors through an online vote.

A social media user called Moo Deng the “most accurate pollster of 2024”. “The mom picked Kamala sending a chilling abortion message to her baby,” one user wrote referring to a bigger hippo who picked a watermelon with Kamala Harris’s name on it while Moo Deng picked Trump.
“This is the only poll that matters! Trump gets the W!!! Moo Deng has SPOKEN,” one wrote.
Some people were disappointed that Moo Deng is a MAGA. “moo deng being a trumper is the biggest betrayal i’ve felt since my extended family started supporting him,” one wrote.
