Two police constables killed in hit-and-run case in Telangana’s Siddipet  

Two police constables were killed after they were knocked off their bike by an unidentified vehicle on the Jaligam bypass road, near Gajwel in Siddipet early on Sunday (December 8, 2024.)

The deceased were identified as Parandamulu (44), 2003-batch official working with the Raipole police and Venkatesh (38) a 2007- batch official working with the Doulthabad police.

The incident was reported at around 4 a.m. on Sunday (December 8, 2024) when the two were on their way to ECIL to participate in a marathon run when an unidentified vehicle hit their bike. According to Siddipet Commissioner of Police B. Anuradha, they were riding on the wrong side at the time of the incident.

Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the government hospital in Gajwel for postmortem. The Gajwel police booked a case and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle.
