Two people died while two others disappeared after diving into a canal for swimming at Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh on May 29 (Wednesday).
They are part of a group of 11 visitors from Hyderabad who are enjoying their summer vacation.
The dead bodies belong to D. Sunil Kumar, aged 42 and his son Anup Raj aged 16 whose remains were discovered. Search operations have been launched to locate V. Kiran, aged 30 and B. Nandu, aged 35 who disappeared.
On Sunday, the team had gone to Ponnur in Guntur District and were heading towards Veerannapalem in Parchur mandal of Bapatla district when the tragedy occurred.
To take bath near Bapatla, they stopped their car at Yara canal. First Anup fell into the deep waters of canal but others drowned during an attempt to save him according to Police reports
