As many as six people, including two children, are feared dead after a goods container toppled on the car on Begur Nelamangala road on Saturday (December 18, 2024) morning.
Two more vehicles collided with each other following the accident.
Traffic on the busy National Highway was disrupted for over two hours while police struggled to pull out the damaged vehicles off the road.
The victims have been pulled out and rushed to hospital . Their identities yet to be ascertained.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday (Dec. 21) afternoon on the National Highway-4.
The truck driver reportedly lost control and the container fell on the car, the police said.
Jurisdictional Nelamangala police have visited the spot and bodies are being recovered. Further details are awaited.
