Donald Trump, the former US President, made a bold assertion, claiming he had worked directly with the billionaire Elon Musk to use Starlink satellite systems in response to hurricane Helene in North Carolina and criticized the federal and North Carolina state government’s response. Nonetheless, the House of Representatives reacted particularly quickly to this indicating that these satellite systems were already standing in operation and new ones were coming in.
The White House comprehensively stated that many dozens of Starlink satellite systems were already functioning in the state, many more than a hundred were also being sent to the regions hard hit by the cyclone.
After former President Donald Trump, in his remarks on Monday, said that he spoke directly to Elon Musk to seek his help in arranging Strarlink’s deployment in North Carolina, such erctic federal coordination came under the spot dog.
“I just spoke to Elon,” said Trump. “We want to get Starlink hooked up because they have no communication whatsoever and Elon will always come through. We are going to try and get the Starlink in there as soon as possible.” Trump added.
It lasted about one and a half years. He further claimed that Biden and the Democratic governor of North Carolina intentionally were withholding help to areas positively leaning toward Republicans. This statement was presented without proof, that is, it was sophistry.
A White House spokesperson was quick to debunk Trump’s lies, and explained that the commitment had, in fact, already been made. Sharing FEMA’s press release on the attempts to deploy Starlink technology, the spokesperson remarked, “This is already happening.”
Many times emergency responders and those affected by the disaster rely on communication facilities powered by Starlink internet satellite. FEMA reports that currently, 40 Starlink systems are providing support in relief efforts while an additional 140 Starlink systems are enroute to restore key infrastructure assets.
Comments made by Trump come in the middle of his activities to win a second term and bear the Democratic face of Kamala Harris in the November contests. SpaceX’s Musk, who owns the Satellite broadband network Starlink, supported Donald Trump seeking re-election.
Helene’s fury left a Calamity that took the lives of over 130 individuals across 6 states. Western North Carolina has been among the most attacked with some regions entirely cut off from the communication systems.
The hurricane which hit Florida’s Gulf coast last Thursday night has now seen analysts and insurer’s scurry assessing Ang damage within a range of 15 billion to over a hundred billion.
