Donald Trump, the Ex-President of the United States, gave a detailed account of an attack made on him recently during one of his campaign rallies in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, which he described as “not pleasant” to Elon Musk, a technology magnate and world’s richest person.
The interview was called “no limits” and it marked Trump’s high-profile return to X (the platform that was previously referred to as Twitter). The session started more than half an hour late due to DDoS attacks.
“It was a bullet right away, I knew it was,” Trump told X CEO Elon Musk who has endorsed him in his candidacy. “I heard people shouting ‘Bullets! Bullets!’”
He also elaborated further saying that; “So we had bullets going over my head after I went down. So I’m glad I went down. The bigger miracle was that I was looking in the exact direction of [Crooks].”
Trump also remembered Corey Comperatore who lost his life during the event as a great Trumper and an amazing person. Further indicating that Comperatore’s family raised a lot through his associates.
With regard to the quick response by secret service agents. And calmness displayed by the crowd former US President gave his gratitude.
“You didn’t have anybody flee, you didn’t have anyone stampede,” noting my immediate concern about no security on roof-top,” commented Trump about what would have been an ideal location for someone with a gun.”
“That would’ve been the spot [for a gunman],” he added.
On another note, Mr Musk had been critical of Trump but commended him for being tough. While referring to last month’s shooting which he said impacted national security immensely because;
“There are some real tough characters out there,” commented X CEO. “And if they don’t think the American president is tough they will do whatever they want.”
During their two hour long conversation marked by familiarity and cordiality the two seemed to reveal very little about Trump’s future plans for his second term.
The major topics that former president touched on were; his recent assassination attempt, illegal immigration and deregulation of government.
