Indisputable star and legendary rocker, Bruce Springsteen joined the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Thursday, which is just weeks before the election scheduled for November 5. The American celebrity, universal popular for his metabolic songs “Born in USA” and “Born to Run” has also become a median vowel from chorus body for the endorsements of endorsed Harris fumble Donald Trump.
Springsteen posted on Instagram how he views Trump, referring to him as ‘the most dangerous White House candidate in my lifetime’. He contrasted this with his faith regarding Harris and her colleague Tim Walz who is a Minnesota governor saying, “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz believe in an agenda for THIS nation that respects and embraces all people — no matter class, no matter religion, no matter race, no matter your political leaning, no matter your sexual identity.”
The rocker stressed that any economy should work for all Americans not only for the rich, stressing, as it were, “like me – on the top.”
As a Criterion-born, Harris has been able to win the majority of the seams of Hollywood and she has been supported by Meryl Streep, Chris Rock, Oprah Winfrey, and other famous people. A month ago, pop diva Taylor Swift last joined the chorus of Harris supporters confirming her status as top withstanding Trump’s tough rivalry.
Bruce Springsteen, The Boss with respect, is 75 year old musician who has received 20 Grammy awards, an Academy Award and was admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. He actively supported Democratic political aspirations which made him actively campaign for Barack Obama and later on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 elections.
Nonetheless, there are fears among some Democratic establishment that too many celebrity supporters might be doing more harm than good as was the case with Clinton 2016 whom, some critics say, came across as elitist thanks to all the celebrity endorsements she bankrolled. As polls show a tight contest, the extent of the effectiveness of such endorsements still waits to be seen.
