On Thursday, Ex-US President Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on the FBI Director Christopher Wray after Wray insinuated that bullet hit Donald Trump while he was standing at a public podium. This criticism by Trump followed Wray’s comments in Congress where he did not know if the wound to his ear was caused by shrapnel, bullet or glass.

Trump took to Truth Social to vent his anger over Wray’s remarks and accused the FBI of not conducting proper investigations into the matter. “Yesterday, before Congress, FBI Director Christopher Wray said he was unsure about whether it was shrapnel, glass or a bullet (the FBI never even checked!), but he knew ‘uneventful’ Joe Biden physically and mentally” “dishonest!” wrote Mr. Trump. Moreover, he argued that when it came to relating with what really went on with crime in America Wray had no clue as to take it from New York Post.

The former president of United States maintained that during an outdoor rally at which he stood behind the podiahe had been shot by someone with a gun.

The controversy began on Wednesday during a House Judiciary Committee meeting where questions were directed to him about shooting at campaign rally for Trump in Butler Pennsylvania on July 13th. In relation to the cause of the injury on Donald’s ear Mr. Wray remarked “there has been some question out there about whether it is shrapnel or some kind of bullet”.

This sentiment strongly contradicted that of Trump who appointed him into office. “No shards of glass fell off; this wasn’t due to any shrapnels either. The hospital called it a ‘bullet wound to the ear,’ and that is what it was,” said Mr. Trump.

At present an investigation into this incident is being conducted by Shoop experts’ team from the F.B.I.. Bullet fragments as well as more waste products will be analyzed by agents within near stage zone so as to understand the nature of the damage. Mr. Trump’s outdoor rally, where shooting incident occurred, injured three other people and one person died. The attacker, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was swiftly stopped by Secret service agents.

This fiery rejoinder from Trump highlights his continued disapproval for federal agencies over what he views as their failure to address actual security threats in favour of politically motivated probes. Authorities are investigating Trump’s campaign rally shooting with an aim of recreating what happened and trying to understand why the would-be assassin did it on behalf of The Federal Bureau of Investigations .
