Jessica Leeds has publicly made her accusation against former President Donald Trump in which she accused him of sexual assault aboard a jet in the late 1970s. On Monday, Leeds gave several specifics about her ordeal during a press conference and said, “He grabbed me and tried to kiss me and ran his hand under my skirt. It was as though he had 47 arms and was under an octopus – I mean there was no sound at all,” CBS as quoted by below reported.
Leeds felt humiliated and terrorized after that encounter. Then, Trump met her the next time and by way of mockery, he looked right at her and said, “I remember you, and then the word C— that followed,” she termed it a verbal assault.
She disapproved of what she believed to be Trump’s contempt towards women and said, “the bottom line is that he is unable to grasp on to the fact that he is a sexual predator. “He raped me 50 years ago and he continues to want to rape me today,” Leeds stated. She further stated that only time will tell whether she will file a lawsuit against him.
When asked if she intends to Sue Trump concerning his current statements, Leeds responded to CNN that they have, ‘we are leaving all of our options open.’ “But no, my purpose why I agreed to go on the stand at E. Jean’s trial was to make it clear that, this is his behavior, and has been for a long time, and there is no benefit to me from that,” she said.
She said that “it has to be stated that it is crucial to underscore the fact that people need to remember that women are disrespected by Trump.” “I was not the first, of course I was not the last. But there have been enough that he does not recall,” said Leeds, according to CNN.
These accusations became more main stream after Trump made less than desirable comments about the subject on Friday, which Leeds referred to as ‘bizarre’. In hindsight, Leeds stated, “I have to say, I did laugh.” “It’s a little creepy and kind of hard to take in. He seems rather fixated. Yet, here I am.”
Leeds first claimed her accusation regarding sexual assault by trump during the American presidential campaigns in 2016. She narrated to New York Times that Trump groped her on classic New York bound Air France flight.
In 2023 during the federal trial of writer E. Jean Carroll, she apparently recounted the alleged incident in further detail: ’He was holding my breasts…It was a roughhouse tussle with wiring almost of.’ Lasky act 1970s leeds recalled that her later meeting him at one of the charity fundraisers. Where she had alleged that, ‘you, I remember you, you’re that cunt from the airplane,’ he had taunted her. This was how she described this event – embarrassing.
However, Trump declared that he never met with Leeds and simply laughed off her accusations. ‘You see the absurdity of this,’ he insisted. ‘I’m famous, I’m in a plane and I take her and kiss her. Why does this ever happen? And to be frank with you, I know you are going to say it is a horrible thing to say, but it could not have happened. It did not happen.’”
In addition, Trump also argued that it was political in nature, for example, saying, “This is a disgraceful case… It is disgraceful especially since it concerns a former president of the United States now the frontrunner to become president again, and all these misleading charges against him, these disgraceful witch hunts are all being coordinated against him by the DOJ. As all of these cases are being coordinated.”
The rift between Leeds’ descriptions and the rebuttal offered by Trump has persisted giving rise to a swirling debate which engages all stakeholders in anticipation of more employments.
