These are the significant changes to keep an eye out for in Kerala today:
- Head parade of 461 Police personnel who have gone through training for deployment with Special Armed police and Kerala Armed Police battalion. Today Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inspect the parade at SAP ground, Peroorkada in Thiruvananthapuram.
- Education Conclave organised by the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) is being held at Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram today.
- The Kerala High Court is expected to hear a petition filed by a survivor of an actor’s rape case seeking police probe into illegal access to memory card on which the alleged incident was recorded.
- Rains pick up in the state ahead of onset of southwest monsoon. If these rains continue for one more day, along with other prescribed criteria that are made known about today, IMD may declare onset of monsoon tomorrow.
- Former Union Minister P. Chidambaram will deliver a lecture at Kozhikode today in memory of MP Veerendra Kumar during an event organized by RJD. There is also another lecture scheduled by historian Ramachandra Guha in Mathrubhumi group’s program.
- A 56-year-old woman admitted with symptoms of food poisoning died this morning at Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital. She was among 187 persons who suffered from symptoms after eating food from the same hotel in Thrissur.
- Exhibition based on water colour paintings created on a work written by G R Indugopan takes place in Kozhikode today.
