Japan’s new prime minister, Shigeru Ishiba, on Monday declared he would call for a parliamentary election immediately on October 27 times the office is formally handed to him on Tuesday.
“Looking forward, I believe it would be prudent to let the new regime win an election by the people within the shortest possible time and if conditions permit, there will be a call for elections of parliament on October 27”, Ishiba said.
Ishiba became the last person to assume the chair of the ruling party in Japan a few days ago or precisely last week attracting the St. Heah’s attention upon going out to contest the present iron lady leader Fumio Kishida. Since the ruling party and its coalition have the majority in parliament, the election of Ishiba as prime minister is secured.
