Friday morning, three human beings died immediately when the car they were in collided directly with a bus on the Hyderabad-Srisailam Highway.
At 6.30 a.m., three friends: Shiva Krishna Varaprasad aged thirty-five, twenty-six-year-old Nikhil Megavat who is an interior designer and Mandeeep Bura forty-five who works for an automobile company lost their lives in this crash near Ramanuthula Village of Amangal mandal.
“The accident happened whilst the bus was travelling from Hyderabad towards Srisailam and these people were driving from Amangal to Hyderabad”, stated Circle Inspector Pramod Kumar B. of Amangal police station. Police haven’t determined which vehicle was going on the wrong side.
The reason given by him for that delay is that there are no CCTV cameras at the spot where the accident occurred but footage from surrounding areas is being gathered as investigations go on.
According to him, “the driver of this bus, Venkataiah (age 36) turned himself in and is now being held in custody pending interrogation.” He had a valid licence upon initial check,” said one of the officials. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem to Kalwakurthy Government Hospital.
Under section 304A of IPC (Indian Penal Code), case has been filed against police at Amangal; further investigation in progress. “Their families have been called for counseling since all those deceased people are originally from Devipatnam” – such statement was made by this person whose name I do not know.” No harm came to any of passengers inside this bus, according to police authorities commented one of them.
