Samajwadi Party (SP) chairperson Akhilesh Yadav stated on 26 May that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had lost self-confidence and was faltering in his slogan speeches after realizing that BJP would not be in government.
When the government of INDIA bloc is formed at the centre, that “Babri lock” will be placed at Ram Mandir, Ayodhya said by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which he described as “dishonouring” of the Supreme Court’s decision.
According to Mr. Yadav, when votes are counted after June 4, INDIA bloc will form government and so will the Union Cabinet and even the media.
In an election rally he addressed to support Salempur candidate for his party Ram Shankar Vidyarthi, SP chief promised that if INDIA bloc forms Government then Agniveer scheme will be withdrawn.
“Speech falters when self-confidence is lost. His [Mr. Modi] Government is going. Modi can now see PM’s post moving away from him. The victory wave that started from western Uttar Pradesh has reached today’s seventh phase. Those who gave ‘400-paar’ slogan are going to get defeated,” said Mr. Yadav attacking Mr. Modi.
Mr. Yadav said “The BJP should yearn for even 140 seats out of a population of 140 crores.” According to him people were highly angry at BJP.“The Modi Government has waived loans of more than ₹25 lakh crore industrialists. The INDIA bloc government will waive loans of farmers and implement MSP (minimum support price) for them,” he added on
At a press conference later, when asked about Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister’s accusation against IDIA Bloc implementing Sharia Law if they won election, Mr.Yadav laughed at Mr. Adityanath. “Yogi-ji is not a yogi. Did you see Yogi-ji’s yoga? One of his legs was wobbling. You will see that after the elections, he will be completely shaken,” Mr. Yadav said.
He further said that the PM’s ‘Babri lock’ remark dishonoured the Supreme Court. “This is a dishonour of the Supreme Court’s decision. The apex court should take suo motu cognisance of the matter and take action,” he said while alleging that BJP wanted to change the constitution
