A women’s health and hormone expert from outside Austin. Texas revealed that she was denied boarding on a United Airlines flight at San Francisco International Airport on Wednesday morning. Longoria was flying with her 16-month-old son and mother. When she repeatedly used the wrong pronoun for a flight attendant during boarding.
“I just said ‘thank you, sir,’ when (the flight attendant) gave me our boarding passes. That is it.That is it,” Longoria told The Post, still perplexed by what had happened. The flight attendant got angry and stopped Longoria’s mom, who was helping carry her son, from proceeding past the gate.
Another male flight attendant corrected her stating “she’s wearing a dress.” Longoria focused on getting her crying son safely onto the plane but confessed on social media to being “not very familiar with pronouns.”
As such, Longoria, along with her child and mother were not permitte to board the plane. Which took off with their bags and medicines still inside. However, United Airlines would later claim in a statement sent to The Post that the family was turn away due to having “too many carry-on items,” something that Longoria vehemently denied.
Longoria recorded everything happening using Instagram; in particular there is a video of an interaction between herself and Gabriella who works for United Airlines.
Gabriella suggested that fact-finding needed witness statements as well as that she wanted them for Captain’s decision made on pulling out Jenna from the plane. When asked again for clarification; Gabriella stated that Longoria was prevent from getting into flight because of things said at airport including phrases like ‘transgender comments’ and ‘derogatory comments about being a bigot.’
Longoria believes that if the captain had been nearby he would have heard what actually took place. She thinks she would have bee allowed onto the aircraft. She now faces possible future banishment by United Airlines from air travel.
So three hours later Longoria and her mother purchased tickets on an American Airlines flight back to Austin. No apology or compensation for the extra tickets has bee received. Despite being handle in a calm manner, devoid of any shouting, pushing or shoving. Longoria still finds the outcome surprising as she believes most passengers were oblivious about what happened.
