Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, expressed sorrow that it was during a crucial phase in Indian history when the negative elements were trying to dismantle every democratic ideology that it was then Mr.Sitaram Yechury a senior communist leader of the CPI-M was around.
At a memorial meeting in Hyderabad for Sitaram Yechury on September 21, 2024, Mr Reddy said there has been a huge gap because of his death which will be difficult to replace even when the situations seem to be enhancing from the current crises where plots of usurping the nation are being devised in the guise of One Nation One Election.
“And most unfortunately for the nation, Sitaram Yechury is no longer with us to steer the nation at these very important junctures of time and Nation. Such mesmerizing personalities are very few in our society,” Mr Reddy lamented, stating how the late lamented leader was active in Indian politics since his university days.
He added that Mr. Yechury otherwise sparked off the will to uphold democracy in the realm of national politics and defended the underprivileged by becoming their voice in every political battleground of this nation. “Mr. Yechury, like the other principal leaders who are no more Gwile, Mrs. S J. Paial Reddy, are commandable politicians.” Whenever I used to meet Mr. Jaipal Reddy I used to remember this M. P. Leader of the CPI (M).
Giving the example of a few leaders who die with the ideology of the party to which they belong, he remarked that Mr. Yechury was one such leader. Younger politicians including Mr. Yechury were also returning to recall the Chief Minister Krishna – Naidu’s US posture as a difference.’Mr. Yechury recollected how pro-poor legislations were stuck hard by the CPI (M) politician during UPA government.
The Chief Minister also criticized Congress President Sonia Gandhi and stated that AICC leader ran away from range Mr. Yechury at best was daubed with concern about the consequences faced by Mr. Gandhi from bjp leaders and other political dignitaries. And why should they not be, penetrating so, chased away after such terrible statements too.
Yechury is a true Hyderabadi, according to KTR.
The BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao who was also present during the memorial meeting was also requested to address Mr. Yechury and said he was a true Hyderabadi who stuck to his ideology. He stated that it is normal for one to change ideology based on political gains but in the case of Mr. Yechury, he regards his ideals even more than the power. KTR stood up from the meeting to which Mr. Reddy came in to preside.
