The occasion saw Taylor Swift fans break new grounds in dedication, as they congregated on a hill near the concert venue in Munich to witness her performance free of charge.
Over Saturday and Sunday, the dedicated Swifties occupied seats on the Olympic Hill (Olympiaberg), which is one of the highest points in the city. The view was from an elevated position where they could see Taylor’s sold-out concert at nearby Olympic Stadium.
Swifties flocked to their spots hours before beginning of the show despite temperatures rising as high as 31 degrees Celsius (88 Fahrenheit). This information was given by police who said that about 25,000 people were gathered there that day according to dpa news agency.
The following day, fans came back on to the plain grassy hill so much so that from afar it looked like an anthill.
Instead of discouraging free viewing, water and emergency blankets were handed out by organizers from dpa. And this was reported by The Eras Tour who posted a photo taken atop X showing how many people had piled onto the hill just to see Taylor’s show. One other picture posted by The Eras Tour read “We are lucky enough to get to play this show for 74k beautiful people in this stadium and if the reports are correct 50k beautiful people outside stadium!”
Photographs and videos of this hill have been circulated across various social media platforms.A user further added “That’s why we can clearly see… That is what Taylor Swift does.” Another person said “TAYLOR SWIFT IS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.”
As part of her ‘Eras’ tour, Swift concluded with a performance last Sunday in Germany; she then moves on towards Poland’s capital Warsaw for three concerts running from Thursday until Saturday.
