Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin speaking during a Tamil Pudhalvan scheme at Government Arts College in Coimbatore on Friday.
M.K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has stated that lateral entry into civil services is nothing but a direct attack on social justice and this denies the most deserving officers who are SC/ST/OBC/minorities their rightful places at the top.
In a tweet he addressed to his followers, he asked the Union Government to stop it and give priority to filling up backlog vacancies for OBCs and SC/STs as well as consider promoting employees equitably.
He also wants total elimination of Creamy Layer as a concept. “But for now, let’s increase this ceiling without further ado,” he added.
These steps have been outlined by him so that social justice is protected and reservations are implemented properly.
