Ayushmann Khurrana’s T-Series films, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui are going back to the cinemas
The fans can catch a glimpse of these films at cinemas near their homes starting from Friday. Though both movies are produced by T-Series. The statement released by the studio revealed that they were coming back as a way to celebrate diversity and resilience within the LGBTQIA+ community in form of entertaining reminders. The objective of this program is to give them respect while arousing greater acceptance as well as understanding thus making Pride Month a true celebration on screen.
What is Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan about?
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan beautifully depicts two men who are passionately in love with each other despite being gay, while overcoming the hurdles of family acceptance. It is simply done in a very beautiful way. It is realistic and also shows how complex it can be for people who belong to LGBTQIA+ communities in getting someone whom they love truly and deeply. Starring Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Manavi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthy Rode etc., it first hit theaters on February 21st 2020.
What is Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui about?
On the other hand, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui narrates an unusual story concerning Manu; a bodybuilder residing in Chandigarh. Who falls for Maanvi unknowingly that she is actually Zumba teacher man disguised as a woman. This love story has funny episodes and feels affectionate but it becomes complicated when reality comes out and violates social norms plus personal beliefs. The movie was directed by Abhishek Kapoor and was initially released on December 10th 2021.
