A new film called SDGM, which is yet untitled was announced by Sunny Deol. The director of the movie is Gopichand Malineni and since then there has been a lot of interest in it. Along with him starring in the movie, the actress will be Saiyami Kher while Regina Cassandra shall play a very important role. Recently, it emerged that Jatt is what this film will be officially called.
According to Pinkvilla, this title has been drawn from the script and defines Sunny Deol’s character traits as a Jat with its strong connotations of strength and heroism. In this larger-than-life role for Deol’s character, he will wear light beard and moustache to match his powerful persona. “Jatt” has been chosen by the team as the title because it describes how Sunny’s aura should be. This is an heroic role that suits perfectly to sunny Deol on screen.” A source close to the development shared, “The team has chosen the title Jatt to reflect the aura of Sunny’s character. It’s a heroic role that aligns perfectly with Sunny Deol’s on-screen image.” The film is slated for a marathon shooting schedule, expected to wrap up by early September.
Gopichand Malineni will direct this ambitious project; he became popular after Bodyguard and Veera Simha Reddy films were released. Currently engaged in making a movie where Ravi Teja stars,Malineni will join hands with SD next time.Directors include S Thaman who composed music for this one whereas Rishi Punjabi provided visual storytelling skills as cinematographer and Avinash Kolla took over art direction.The film which involves Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with People Media Factory.
Lahore 1947 produced by Aamir Khan under Rajkumar Santoshi’s direction besides having Preity Zinta among others stars Karan Deol, the son of Deol. Also, it was recently announced by Deol that he will be making Border 2 as a sequel to his hit drama film Border which has J.P.Dutta as the director.
Additionally, Sunny Deol is preparing for the role of Hanuman in Ramayana and has also had preliminary talks with Abbas Mustan for an untitled action thriller project. “He is expected to wrap up shooting for Jatt by early September and then move on to Ramayana and Border 2. He is also looking at timelines for Abbas Mustan’s next,” added the source.
