Norme, an Australian YouTuber, broke the current world record for the longest time a person stayed awake without sleeping. His brother Don has been helping him to stay awake during the live stream by using various methods such as sprinkling water on him and making him stand up when he gets too tired.
However, during the broadcast Norme starts fainting and having hallucinations because of his tiredness and at some point incoherence also sets in N.
Many viewers have expressed their concern that this challenge is going too far; therefore, they have spammed chat with posts urging Norme to stop it before getting sick.
Moreover, people are currently finding out where Norme could be in order to call an ambulance. The livestream doesn’t stop even amid these concerns.
It should be emphasized that Guinness World Records no longer considers this type of achievement as an official record holder.
The latest one was Randy Gardner who managed 264 hours (11 days) which became a piece of his science fair project. As a result of this experiment, Gardner suffered from serious health problems and became insomniac for quite a long time after.
