In August 2024, the Indian film industry is preparing for an important month where a string of much-anticipated movies are expected to be released on screens. One of the most prominent contenders is Stree 2, which is a sequel to 2018’s horror-comedy blockbuster titled Stree that starred Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified Stree 2 officially with a U/A rating prior to its release date and also unveiled its duration.
Stree 2 Certified U/A with a Runtime of 149 Minutes
The CBFC certified Stree 2 for U/A rating on August 8, 2024, opening the way for its theatrical release. The movie takes up 149 minutes twenty-nine seconds or 2 hours 29 minutes 29 seconds in total running time. This span sets up an interesting cinema show as fans anticipate how the story will flow from start to finish considering what their minds have imagined in the initial film.
August 2024: A Month of Cinematic Showdowns
On India’s Independence Day; August 15th 2024, Stree Two would be out in screens. For this month, however, there are several holidays including three public ones thus giving more days for people to watch movies. All these celebrations commence during Independence Day and continue with Parsi New Year on 16th day of August followed by a weekend on 17th and 18th days then concluded by Raksha Bandhan happening on 19th day of the same month. Finally Janmashtami will occur on august 26th hence ensuring uninterrupted entertainment need throughout that period.
Stree 2 will also be competing against other major releases such as Khel Khel Mein starring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu, Vedaa featuring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh.
