The Stree 2 that has Stree – the character who has gone for elimination and is now back in the theatre alluring Chanderi from evil – this has Khichdi 2 Box office collection just keeps rising as the audience are loving the return of Stree in theatres. For those who do not know, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao were back to the combat of eerie spirits of Chanderi with their sidekicks Pankaj, Aparshakti and Abhishek once again with Stree 2. Although the initial release in 2018 was profitable in the markets, this sequel was well received by the audiences who have a soft spot for their new favorite genre horror-comedy. Besides that, the movie was also well received because of the unexpected appearances of actors such as Tamannaah Bhatia and Akshay Kumar. It was released in theatres on August 15 as a special release on the occasion of Independence Day.
On the other hand, keen to move the franchise forward in sync with the Maddock Supernatural Universe, Bhunesh Sharma directed film Amar Kaushik also makes some references to the Varun Dhawan starrer Bhediya with the actor also making a special cameo in this film, which indicates that he will be working with her in the near future. Apart from these two films, Munjya which has Sharvari and Abhay Verma in the cast is also in the runs of this universe.
