Stormy Daniels, the adult film performer, in an interview released in The Mirror at the weekend, finally spoke after the conviction of Donald Trump’s ex-United States president calling for his imprisonment.
‘‘He should be sentenced to prison with some community service doing charity work for less privileged people or serving as a volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter,” said Daniels late Saturday night.
A collection of 12 New Yorkers found Trump guilty of 34 counts of business fraud on Thursday because he sought to conceal hush money paid to Daniels shortly before the 2016 presidential vote.
To keep quiet and avoid scandal breaking out just before the election through which he narrowly defeated Hillary Clinton, Daniels whose real name is Stephanie Clifford was paid $130k.
Finally “vindicated” after years of trading insults with Mr. Trump on social media and yet “shocked” by how quickly the jury made their decision – one which saw him become the first former US president ever convicted of any crime.
At one point during her talk with The Mirror she also accused him of living in a world that only exists in his mind and said he behaved like a child.
The iconic stripper-turned-film director helped take down Trump by giving harrowing evidence including explicit details about what she describes as an informal sexual encounter from 2006
Speaking to The Mirror, she described going through terrifying experience in court every time one looked at jurors saying it was good that it was proved that I had been telling the truth all along.’
After being convicted on Thursday Stormy remained uncharacteristically silent for several days on end.
As CNN previously quoted Daniel’s husband Barrett Blade saying that she still has not “processed” everything regarding this case since it ended and suggested that they might be threatened by members supporting DT.
“Yeah you know all those MAGA idiots are going to come after her.” Blade referred to President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan Make America Great Again as per Trump’s supporters.
The Mirror also reported that Daniels said she could never escape death threats from Trump’s supporters.
“It’s so vicious and threatening… from the standpoint of just the fear of what somebody might do,” Daniels’ attorney Clark Brewster told a local ABC News station during an interview about the trial.
Daniels is a self-made woman who rose from a difficult childhood and through the challenging world of adult movies to become a successful businesswoman.
However, she recently revealed in a documentary that beneath her seemingly tough, funny online personality, she has felt hurt by Trump’s constant insults as well as those of his followers.
“Back in 2018 that was stuff like ‘liar’, ‘slut’, ‘gold digger’.” She said in “Stormy” movie
This trial with all its revelations only served to further divide an already deeply divided country.
Last Friday, Trump went off on a rant of insults and untrue statements that took aim at the trial as well as the judge.
His campaign said on Friday it had collected almost $53m in online donations following his conviction, arguing that the judgement has increased their backing by “like never before”.
Sentencing for Trump is scheduled to be on July 11 with an appeal likely. He could spend time in jail but will probably get probation instead.
