Russian defense prevented 39 Ukrainian drones’ night raid over five regions of the country, Russian authorities have announced on Monday whereas Kyiv officials said that forces from Kremlin intensified their efforts to overpower field defenses in the eastern Ukraine front line.
The drones were “intercepted and destroyed” in neighboring areas with Ukraine and in Leningrad region about 700 km north of the Ukrainian border, Russia’s defense ministry said.A power plant, a bridge and a power line were damaged by drone debris, it said.
To make this war that has entered its third year more expensive for Moscow and to disrupt its war machine as Kyiv is using sophisticated technology. Given that their attacks have become more ambitious over time, Ukraine can now dispatch drones against major installations deep inside Russia.
On Monday, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian troops had intensified their attack on Pokrovsk after weeks of fighting.
