Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday (December 6, 2024) paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chairman of the drafting committee of the Constitution in the Constituent Assembly, on his death anniversary.
“Dr. Ambedkar remains a protector and warrior, whose ideas continue to inspire us and safeguard our rights. His legacy will forever guide us toward a fair and just society,” Mr. Stalin said in a social media post.
Ambedkar was a visionary leader who emerged to challenge the deep-rooted injustices that denied rights and dignity to many, Mr. Stalin said, adding: “He demonstrated the transformative power of education and harnessed his wisdom to pave the way for equality and justice.”
In a social media post, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami also paid tribute Ambedkar and observed that it was the late leader who laid the foundation for the empowerment of the downtrodden and oppressed sections of society.
