The movie Mitti has just taken a new twist casting south Indian star Sreeleela to play the lead opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film has attracted a lot of attention and the addition of Sreeleela to its cast has made it even more interesting. According to Pinkvilla sources, she agreed to take up this role because her character is well developed and strong.
Mitti Production Details & Shooting Schedule
In October 2024, Mitti will start production in North India on a back-to-back basis. Preparations are allegedly ongoing at full speed with plans to begin shooting during the winter season. A new rooted action-family drama that sees another intense angle for Sidharth Malhotra’s aforementioned character provides him with an opportunity for fresh challenges.

Mitti is an action-drama set in Uttarakhand picturesque landscapes. The director Balwinder Singh Janjua revealed that guilt, family and the need to protect one’s home and land i.e., ‘zameen’ form central concepts in this film. This plot heavily relies on emotions, culture and worthiness of ‘mitti’, thus turning out as an attractive story line.
Sreeleela’s Bollywood journey
Sreeleela, who had already established herself down south, now gears up for an entry into Bollywood through Mitti. For her debut in Hindi cinema, she believes it would be great working with Sidharth Malhotra and getting new opportunities in the industry. Her inclusion in Mitti puts previous speculations about her participation in other B-Town ventures such as Varun Dhawan starrer comedy flicks to rest.
