On Monday, a soldier and a protester were killed during the riots that took place in Karachi when several thousand demonstrators stopped the city in its tracks, according to local officials.
Since Saturday, thousands more protesters have gone out to demonstrate elsewhere in Balochistan province, led by Gwadar, which hosts an expansive China-run port on the Arabian Sea; they are protesting alleged human rights abuses, mass arrests and resource exploitatives.
The military of Pakistan said one soldier was killed and 16 others injured after “unlawful violent march.”
Consequently, authorities have enacted a Communication blackout in some parts of Baluchistan as well as blocking off roads which would join people with protestors.
