According to the Slovak media, the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico was discharged from a hospital in Banska Bystrica, where he had been treated after an assassination attempt, and brought to his apartment in Bratislava on Thursday.
No official statements were issued by the government office or the hospital administration.
The hospital also informed that Fico underwent further tests earlier today which showed that his health was improving. He has already started with rehabilitation processes.
On May 15th – at a government meeting in Handlova (central town of Slovakia) – Fico received four bullets at close range from an unknown attacker as he was greeting his followers.
Fico who is 59 was shot in the stomach and taken to Banska Bystrica Hospital in critical condition. The first operation lasted over five hours followed by another one after two days.
Immediate arrest occurred at the scene where Juraj C., a 71-year old assaultant, was charged with attempted murder premeditated crime.
