Taylor Casey, a US woman, has been missing since the past week after she went to Bahamas in order to attend a yoga retreat according to her family and police.
The 41 year old lady was last seen on June 19 at Paradise Island as reported by ABC News. The Royal Bahamas police force is searching for Casey.
Casey remains missing up to Tuesday, with authorities utilizing ground teams and drones said the police force according to ABC News.
“Taylor’s mother Colette Seymour stated in a recent release, ‘I think Taylor is in danger because she would have loved to come back and tell everyone how great it was doing yoga’”. Mrs. Seymore added that “She would never have left like that.”
“In a statement by the retreat centers, they noticed that Casey had not shown up for morning classes on June 20th. In addition, she was last seen late evening of June 19th.” The declaration further read “The organization has also reached out to her family and United States Embassy over this incident.”
Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas told ABC News “If there is any information regarding Casey please notify the local police station or ashram.” They are also involved in helping with investigation officers.
“Our embassy will be working closely with local authorities during search operations for an American citizen. When we have anything relevant for families we share with them,” he/she explained. Lastly, “we prioritize safety of all citizens living outside America more than anything as Department of State. Be ready to help any situation where US citizens are concerned.”
Her brown hair is usually covered with durag since she regularly puts it on while her natural hair is always hidden beneath durag when wild according his family; Casey is described as lightly colored black woman around five feet ten inches tall and weighing about one hundred forty five pounds.
In previous months; the USA State Department warned individuals visiting Bahamas especially Nassau concerning their concerns on security. It went to the extent of stating that “Violent crimes such as; burglaries, armed robberies and sexual assaults happen in tourist and non-tourist areas alike”. Finally, the alert advised tourists to be cautious with their lives.
