In an amazing twist of events, a US-based Sidharth Malhotra fan lost fifty lakhs in a scam allegedly perpetrated by administrators of the actor’s fanpage. Minoo Vasudevan, calling herself desi_girl334 at X, the fan wrote several notes explaining how she was taken in by some Alizeh and Husna who said that Sid was in trouble and actually needed money from her. This got posted on his platform after she burst out with anger to warn fans about such swindlers.

According to him, “Over recent periods I have discovered that there are certain scams/fraudulent activities circulating across various social networking platforms purporting to be connected or associated with me, my family as well as individuals who claim to be my fans and demanding money from them.” He added, “Please know that myself & my family & team do not support this kind of behavior. I advice all of you people to watch out while dealing with such things. Immediately inform appropriate authority if you are suspicious and please dont share any fake information.” He finally wrapped up saying, “My fans have always been my biggest strength and your trust and safety are my top priorities.” And signed off by adding, “Big Love and Hug!”

Alizeh told her different tales which included Kiara Advani forcing Sidharth to marry her through threats to him and his loved ones besides casting black magic spells on him; subsequently Minoo expressed worry for her idol and then again added that Alizeh also introduced her to one Deepak- a member of Sid’s ‘team’ who confirmed it all.
