Siddhant Chaturvedi has also opened up about the comments made by the members of the Call Me Bae team in response to his viral comment made in an interview in 2020. The series, which was released on the Prime Video platform last month, features a subtle sitting on the peripheral of the concerns of the Indian cinema industry choke-point applied by Chatur Vedhi’s characterization of outsiders into the industry.
The Viral Moment Revisited in Call Me Bae
While briefing the media on the nature of the sweetness in the upcoming IIFA awards, Siddhant Chaturvedi expressed his happiness that got to include such a statement in the series by the producers of Call me Bae.thank you. “It’s funny, it’s cute. It’s actually a very nice show. I’m happy that they thought it was important enough to have that line in there. And the show is really doing good. It is trending as we speak. So, good luck to the entire team,” Chaturvedi told PTI.
As per the sources available on the internet, it appears a statement from a roundtable interview from 2020 where Siddhant’s statement gained all the publicity. In support, Ananya Panday, the daughter of Mr. Chunky Panday, went so far as to say that appearing on the couch opposite Karan Johar is the only thing that decides a career in Bollywood. To this Chaturvedi had retorted with the now-heralded, “The difference is jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai (The difference is that their struggles begin where ours end).”
With that said, it is pertinent to point out that Ananya and Siddhant also worked on two more projects, Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, that were released after the cause, such as Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Both were made available for streaming via OTT platforms.
Talking about the professional engagement, Siddhant is also in the configuration process for his upcoming movie, Yudhra. The film includes Raghav Juyal as the villain and Malavika Mohanan as the heroine as well. It is set to hit the screens on September 20. Immovable, he is due to present IIFA Rocks for 2024 where he will co-present with the actor Abhishek Banerjee. The awards are slated to take place on Yas Island Abu Dhabi between the 27th and 29th of September.
