Shreyas Talpade is an actor in Bollywood who was affected by a death hoax, which had an adverse effect on him and his family. The actor spoke about this fake news on Instagram after participating in the release of the trailer for Kangana Ranaut’s movie titled Emergency.
Shreyas Talpade calls out death hoax, expresses daughter’s concern about his health: “Don’t joke around at the cost of others”.
Talpade expressed his frustration and anger with such disinformation in an emotional post. He also stressed that these hoaxes actually have real life implications especially upon the life of her small girl. From her father’s heart attack in 2023 to this callous and thoughtless act, she has become more worried as a result.
On my side Shreyas Talpade Velum says, “My youngest daughter who goes to school every day is already worried sick about me often asking questions looking for reassurance….” Her fears are further exacerbated by this false information leading to more answers from peers and teacher putting to test our ability as a family to manage emotions.
Further explaining the wider impact of such hoaxes, he said, “To those pushing this content further I ask you to stop and think about what you are doing”. “There are many people who have genuinely wished for my well-being and it is disturbing when jokes are made that hurt feelings have caused suffering to my dear ones or brought upheaval into our lives.”
Wrapping up with a final appeal directed towards Internet trolls he wrote; “Don’t joke around at the cost of others and don’t do this to anyone else”.
Currently, Shreyas Talpade is busy shooting for his next film wherein he plays former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It will be released on September 6th under title ‘Emergency’.
