Sharad Sankla, the actor who plays Abdul in the successful television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has come out strongly against recent rumours that he was leaving the show. This gossip started because of his temporary absence from the current plot.
IS SHARAD SANKLA ALSO QUITING TMKOC?
In an interview with ETimes, Sankla refuted the claims asserting that he is still part of it. “The news is absolutely untrue. I am not going anywhere and very much part of the show. The storyline in the show is such that my character is not there, but very soon Abdul will return. It is part of the storyline,” he said.
SHARAD SANKLA DENIES RUMORS OF QUITTING TMKOC
Sharad Sankla also spoke about his deep connections with Neela Telefilms and Asit Kumarr Modi, who is a producer for this program and his college buddy too. He expressed himself clearly as far as quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was concerned. “Why will I quit the show? I can’t even think of quitting the show. The production house Neela Telefilms is like a family to me and our producer Asit Kumarr Modi is my college friend. There is no way I will ever quit the show. Jab tak show chalta rahega tab tak main uska hissa bana rahunga,” he added.
Earlier reports had wrongly said that Sankla left it in May 2024; however, this latest clarification by him dispels all these rumors confirming his continued presence on board in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
It’s worth mentioning that Sharad Sankla has been with this show since its beginning sixteen years ago; where Abdul’s character among others has become iconic with viewers across India and beyond. In July 2024, Kush Shah another actor left the show and he has been playing the role of Goli Hansraj Hathi for sixteen years.
