Bollywood enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards return to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Additionally, per Khaleej Times, this year is set to be even more spectacular with Shah Rukh Khan returning as the host. If SRK were to come back as a host even though IIFA has not confirmed them yet.
“The ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’, during these years, has moved from just being there at the IIFA Awards to becoming a symbol of its greatness. It is through his contribution that made IIFA global spectacle that perhaps celebrates cinema in India. His legacy includes incredible performances, unforgettable speeches and an abiding presence that has taken the event to another level,” organizers noted in their press release
In 2017, Shah Rukh Khan was celebrated with special tribute marking his completion of twenty five years in film industry. The tribute showed his journey till date and influence on Indian filmscape. He won several other awards including Best Actor for some iconic roles played in Devdas, Veer-Zaara and My Name is Khan.
This year’s IIFA awards under Khan promise all that glitters including a myriad of performances; touching commemorations; and seeing A-listers from Bollywood uniting to celebrate magic of Indian films. Fans are expecting an amazing range of dazzling performances, heartwarming tributes and excitement about seeing together top actors of Bollywood celebrating power of Hindi cinema.
