Kevin Roberts, president of the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation, said that last Thursday’s Supreme Court Ruling on Presidential Immunity Could Support a Second American Revolution just as Outlined in their Project 2025 Plan.
According to Newsweek report, Robert explained during Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast that how this decision will assist him to realize his conservative goals if Donald Trump becomes successful in becoming a president in November and he proposes for Project 2025.
Speaking about this yesterday, Roberts noted that Monday’s decision by the Supreme Court that Presidents have immunity from criminal penalties for “official acts,” will enable them not to have to “triple guess every decision they’re making in their official capacity.”
He concluded, “In spite of all this nonsense from the left we are going to win. We’re in the process of taking this country back.”
Roberts calls it “the deep state,” but Project 2025 envisions a bloodless revolution where civil service employment protections for federal employees with policy-related job titles are remove. According to Newsweek, it would be easier to fire and replace civil servants with Republican loyalists under these conditions.
Those words were also repeated by Roberts (Ibid).
“We are going through another revolution, which is hopefully bloodless if let by the left,” he added.
Furthermore, according to the document, among other things, there is need for several other reforms such as: abolition of education as a department; cutting welfare programmes; preferring fossil fuels industry; restricting access to abortion pills; eliminating diversity equity and inclusion hiring policies from federal programs and others.
Also notable among them is that Project 2025 seeks to increase executive control over federal agencies while limiting presidential power with respect to policy implementation- coincidentally it seems- following the recent Supreme Court ruling. However experts like professor Erwin Chemerinsky have criticized Professer Erwin Chemerinsky who argues Professor Erwin Chemerinsky has been a stern critic of Project 2025 claiming that it is “inconsistent with the structure and goals of the constitution.”
During his War Room podcast appearance, Roberts was with Steve Bannon absent in what happened to be the show’s first airing without him due to contempt of congress charges.
Bannon has been a staunch supporter of Project 2025, which he believes will make Make America Great Again movement govern America for half a century. Telling his listeners during the episode “We’re in the process of taking this country back; none of you should despair,” said Roberts.
