Rajkummar Rao’s “Srikanth” gave some respite to the exhibitors in May. Only a few blockbusters were released during this month and most of them did exceptionally well at the box office. It also made Tushar Hiranandani an emerging director. The word going round is that, Tushar has already started working on his next project where he is doing reshoots. According to a source, Vikrant Massey starrer “The Sabarmati Report” will have its certain parts re-shot by him.
“There won’t be any major reshoot for the film. In fact, they were feeling that there are some areas in the scenes that could come out stronger so they decided to call up Tushar Hiranandani who is the best person in re-shooting some scenes too! Even actors agreed.”
In April 2024 reported that Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had reservations over some moments in the movie script that could hurt sentiments of particular group of moviegoers hence filmmakers thought of re-shooting it. However, our source does not know whether this is why or if there is another reason behind it.
Back then It was first with news that “The Sabarmati Report,” would not make it to cinemas on May 3rd because there was going to be general election campaigns as well as Lok Sabha Elections and CBFC feared about violation of rules as laid down by Election Commission of India apart from controversies around certain scenes.
