SCOOP: Oscar-winning composer M M Keeravani replaces G V Prakash Kumar as music director in Akshay Kumar-starrer Skyforce.
Akshay Kumar is scheduled to have four movies released in the year 2024. This year, his account kicked off with action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and was followed by Sarfira, a biopic. Next month, he will release “Khel Khel Mein‟ which is a comic caper. This would be succeeded by Skyforce, an aerial action thriller. While fans of Akshay are awaiting Khel Khel Mein’s release on August 15, they are also keeping an eye on Skyforce as it looks quite exciting due to various factors. And there has been an interesting development surrounding the October 2 release according to Parami News.
A source told Parami News, “National award-winning composer G V Prakash Kumar has signed the film as a composer. He came on board a few days back and has begun work on the film. He has assured the team that he’ll complete his work on time so Skyforce can release on its intended date.”
The source added that “It was Oscar-winning composer M.M Keeravani of RRR (2022) fame who had been originally sought after by producers.” However, Dinesh Vijan and him had different views which led them into polite refusal for this project but promised each other they could partner again in another movie.
Moreover, G V Prakash Kumar had just composed the songs and background score for Sarfira and Akshay had fun working with him. He also seemed to be having similar thoughts like those of filmmakers’ vision. Both sides seemed excited about the possibility of collaborating with one another and thereby made him part of Sky Force.
Interestingly today one of the Directors of Sky force Sandeep Kewlani posted a video on his Instagram handle to state that the film’s shoot has been completed. Sandeep Kewlani also mentioned several other people in the tweet and one of them is G V Prakash Kumar.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Sky force also features Sara Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya & Nimrat Kaur. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films), Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios). Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur
