AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on June 20 asked for the backing of the INDIA bloc during its campaign to get Haryana’s water share for Delhi.
Sanjay Singh, an AAP Rajya Sabha MP in a press conference yesterday called it BJP sponsored water crisis in National Capital.
“Protests and drama are their cup of tea. If they want to get water for Delhi, let them protest outside Haryana Bhawan,” he added.
Delhi Water minister Atishi will be starting an indefinite fast from June 21 to fight over Delhi’s share of water from Haryana which is controlled by the BJP, said Mr. Singh.
“For this struggle I request INDIA bloc parties to support us. HARYANA is supposed to give us our fair portion of water,” he requested.
The AAP government has been accused by Delhi BJP of “inaction” as well as Ms. Atishi was criticised yesterday for engaging in ‘theatrics’ distracting public attention from an alleged theft and black marketing of water.
