The “Jai Shri Ram” was commenced by her during her campaign and if re-elected from Hooghly for the second time, she pledged to fight corruption. In 2024 parliamentary elections, BJP leader Locket Chatterjee will compete against Rachana Banerjee – a film opener of Trinamool Congress party and a television game show host who garnered over 60,000 votes in the last election. Chatterjee is sure about winning this ward as well as his vision about Tatas returning back to Singur and undoing what Mamata Banerjee called “damage.”
How come people choose you once again in Hooghly?
I came here in 2019 when I was sent by PM Modi. Earlier this place used to be CPM’s stronghold and then became TMC’s den. This was my second time of being sent here after winning with 46% of the vote. May the residents of Hoogly bless me. At that point Mr.Modi wants even that we should remove it from Bengal and all India.I want to be his soldier.Little work is there inside this context.
TMC opponents are film stars hosting TV game shows; have you ever been through something like this before?
All battles are difficult.Isn’t that such a hard match?Rachana is someone I used to know but haven’t seen for about ten years now.This battle is between corruption versus one person.Do you know how much corruptions have taken place in all those scams here like Awas Yojana scam, recruitment scam or ration scam?In this context three persons from among TMC party members of Hooghly district were detained.This means fighting against corrupt practices.
According to TMC, BJP used ED and CBI on opposition parties. How do you view it?
Those are all thieves yet they say BJP uses ED and CBI? You steal somebody’s things now if you are busted,is that a conspiracy? See Shahjahan Shaikh’s case. He was taking lands through dadagiri (muscle power).He has looted people. This is an evidence. Corruption had increased during the last twelve years of Mamata Banerjee’s regime. Anubrata Mondal and Jyotipriyo Mallick have been jailed.TMC will be finished in 2026. It has no connection with the BJP.
In Sandeshkari, a female complainant said the complaint of sexual assault was false; what do you think about it?
Since 2011 Mamata Banerjee argues that there were pre-planned all attacks from Park Street rape to Kamdenu, Kakdwip, Medinipur and Hooghly attacks.Even though herself being a lady, Bengal today happens to be one of the most unsafe places for women.This sting operation was held deliberately during voting stage but it became well known throughout India.They can go anywhere to register their complaints as they feel that they are at loss thus they have this trick on them.
Why do you use slogan “Jai Shri Ram”?
People know “Jai Shri Ram” and Modiji. Modi brings our dreams into reality after five centuries. This is our feeling.
Your opponents argue that you are using religion for votes
Bharat is Hindu presidential palace. Our roots are Rama and Sanatana Dharma.We don’t say good morning we say Jai Shri Ram .This is our culture.
Hoogly are is industrial but there is no industry here.
The industry here has been ruined by left and Mamata Banerjee. Singur was a vehicle for political expression by Banerjee. The farmers have lost everything, so also the industry has gone down. The land is not good enough for cultivation according to them. We, on the other hand, need industries. On our return to power, we will bring TATA back.
What are your views regarding CAA?
TMC misleads people and creates confusion. Citizens will receive nationality while no one will be pushed out of the country.
According to TMC Lakhir Bhandar would be a game changer. What do you want to convey?
That’s for 2021 not now. Money that ranges between 500 to 1000 rs is given away by them and they steal women’s honor from under their very noses Instead of providing jobs they are trying to bribe away the voice of citizens with moneyed handouts instead We shall give every employment to all.
The BJP claims it has 400 seats throughout India. How about Bangladesh?
Our target in Bangladesh is 35 but we shall try to win more than that. All candidates are making effort. We will fight for maximum seats for Modiji.
What goes on in your seat?
Two times more because people voted against corruption would be our winning margin I am confident People want an end to a corrupt system.
