A special MCOCA court in Mumbai has found enough material to connect five accused with Bishnoi gang members who allegedly opened fire outside the home of actor Salman Khan. It is a significant event in this sensational case that police here have been cognizant of the chargesheet filed by them before the court.

On 14th April, 2024, two men on motorcycles fired shots at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra where Salman Khan stays causing a stir throughout the city. The Mumbai crime branch started probing and afterwards arrested six people including Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Anujkumar Thapan, Mohd Rafiq Choudhary and Harpal Singh. Unfortunately, one of these individuals named Thapan died while he was still under police custody.

Earlier this month, Mumbai Police filed chargesheets against the remaining five accused. This happened during Monday’s hearing when Public Prosecutor Jaysing Desai presented his case to Special Judge BD Shelke. On scrutiny of the chargesheet and other papers accompanying it, the Court found enough material for establishing prima facie grounds for proceeding against appellants.

This would mean that the case will now move to another stage within the criminal justice system.

The three volumes containing various investigation documents are included in this chargesheet. These include statements from forty-six witnesses taken between u/s 164 CrPC before magistrate and confessional statement recorded u/s MCOC (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime), twenty-two panchanamas as well as technical evidence. Now, it’s up to court to examine such accusations with aim of determining further actions within legal processes concerning this issue which is latest stage marking an important milestone in firing incident at residence of Salman Khan.

Additionally as another surprising revelation came through yet another chargesheet indicating Rs25 lakh reward announced by a group called Bishnois for anyone who killed Salman Khan.
