Mallika Sherawat has been replaced by Sakshi Tanwar in a new television series named The Royals. Mallika Sherawat, initially cast as Ishaan Khatter’s mother withdrew due to creative differences, according to Bombay Times. It has now been confirmed that actress Sakshi Tanwar will take her place.

Sakshi Tanwar is reportedly on the set of The Royals which features, among others, Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar. No official announcements have however been made by the producers or makers of this show. The show presents both fictional and real stories from different Rajasthani royal families with an aim of giving a fascinating insight into the opulent lifestyles led by Indian aristocracy
When Mallika quit the show, her team had previously informed about it through press statements. “In February, Mallika left it because she did not agree with some creative aspects between her and the production team. She was given a role that does not match what was promised earlier on.” Added to this statement by Mallika’s team: “After numerous discussions, she finally agreed to part ways with them”. This paved way for Tanwar to join as part of its ensemble cast
According to Mid-Day, Netflix greenlit The Royals which will be taking us back and forth between present day and past decades. As such Bhumi Pednekar acts as one of the leading entrepreneurs in this story which is almost like The Crown itself..
