Siddharth Anand has confirmed that Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter, an upcoming movie starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.
This filmmaker’s recent social media post has taken the internet by storm. Under the caption “Back on set with my first hero! How can nothing change!” a snapshot of him and Saif Ali Khan was published. Following this picture, it was finally made public that after 17 years, the actor and director would again work together in a film; showing some interest for their next project among fans. Afterward, Siddhart shared another snap of Robbie Grewal and Saif who are working on this mysterious project which is currently at hand. According to Anand’s latest Instagram post, the highly awaited film will be called Jewel Thief – The Red Sun Chapter.
Robbie Grewal directs Marflix Pictures produced by Siddharth along with Mamta Anand while Robbie Grewal is directing it. Making such combination between actors and directors as well as producers we have high hopes from the film which is being referred to as a heist drama. Besides, Jaideep Ahlawat plays one of important parts in this movie. As per reports, they will be pitted against each other in Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter, which will stream directly on OTT platforms.
The filming of this venture is ongoing in Budapest with Siddharth Anand himself shooting alongside Mamta Anand along with Saif Ali Khan and Robbie Grewal and others who are involved in it. While for Robbie and Saif this is their first time coming together professionally, unlike them Siddharth had joined forces with Khan earlier for Salaam Namaste (2005) or Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).
Grewal’s screenplay for the movie was also worked on by Sambit Mishra & Anand. 60 Crore Netflix deal for the movie also added fuel to fire in terms of rumors around the industry.
Also, Saif Ali Khan has signed up a project with Jr. NTR titled Devara: Part 1 that also stars Janhvi Kapoor and is expected to release in October 2024.
