National award-winning filmmaker Nagraj Manjule has signed up Sai Tamhankar for his next big project, Matka King. The announcement comes after she recently associated herself with Excel Entertainment for two new projects — Ground Zero and Agni; here she will star opposite Emraan Hashmi and Pratik Gandhi respectively.
This news about Sai starring in Matka King has left many of her fans curious and excited. This also means that this is the first time that Sai will act under Manjule’s direction which makes everything even more interesting. On working with Nagraj Manjule, Sai said “Nagraj Manjule of course was on my bucket list and I have been very out spoken about it during interviews as well as on social media. Very overwhelmed at last, nervous too -can’t wait! ”
“It’s an Amazon Prime web series in which Vijay (Varma) happens to be involved so I’m going to get a chance to work with such a great actor like him. At present, It’s kind of unexpected excitement in my life but I cannot talk much about the character right now.”
Sai’s performance in Dabba Cartel set for Netflix release later this year is another project where we can see her besides Ground Zero, Agni, and Matka King. She has collaborated thrice already with Excel Entertainment who have casted some legends like Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, Shalini Pandey Nimisha Sajayan Anjali Anand Gajraj Rao Jisshu Sengupta etcetera.
