Ryan Reynolds teamed up with John Krasinski for his forthcoming movie, “Imaginary Friends,” aimed at juveniles. The two were prominent in the news recently due to their upcoming R-rated projects- Deadpool by Reynolds and Deadpoolquiet placePrequel by Krasinski. This live-action film combines reality and imagination like no other.
Reynolds, who was also involved as a producer of the movie, has described the creative discussions that resulted in his collaboration with Krasinski. “We kind of went back and forth,” he said explaining that they wanted to shoot something that felt like a live-action Pixar movie. “That’s really what John wrote on the page.”
Talking about the director’s development as a filmmaker, Ryan admitted that he finds it amazing how the same person could make creepy sci-fi movies such as A Quiet Place and emotional films like A Quiet Place. He went on to say, “I cannot think of any other writer-director who understands parenthood in quite the way that John Krasinski does.” What impresses me most about his film language is that he can make a movie as scary and provocative as The Dead but then he can also make something like What If, which is gentle unexpected humor.”
John also told us why he made this new film.“I have always wanted to make a movie for them,” according to a statement released by him. Emily called these ‘Quiet’ movies PG-40 so they couldn’t see it for many years. They became more cautious with everything even if they got excited.
“I thought wouldn’t it be great if you could bring all this magic into your own real life? When people watch this film I want them to feel there’s still something bigger out there; some beauty will actually get you somewhere.”
Also included in the cast are Kelly Fleming, Fiona Shawand voiced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge,Louis Gossett Jr., Steve Carell, who bring forth the incredible imaginations of children in this movie opening on 17th May.
