A day after shooting at Trump‘s rally in Pennsylvania, Republican National Convention began on Monday amid tight security. The topic has drawn immense public interest on Google Trends after foiled assassination attempt on the former US president that left the suspect dead and one attendee injured.
Trump is set to formally accept the nomination and deliver his acceptance speech at the Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee on July 18.The day before, he plans to announce his vice-presidential candidate.
Over 2,400 elected delegates from across the nation will convene to formally declare their support for Trump through their votes.
Donald Trump would be nominated “to serve as the 47th President of the United States,” a joint statement said.
