An official said that four polling stations in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul Lok Sabha seat had a turnout of 72.97 per cent because the EVMs used during the May 7 polls were burnt, voting resumed on Friday. and ended at 6 p.m., an official said.

Re-polls are to be held at Government Comprehensive Higher Secondary School in Rajapur, Government Comprehensive Higher Secondary School in Rayat, Government Primary School in Rayatkunda and Government Comprehensive Higher Secondary School in Chihlimar.
The re-poll is taking place at these polling centres located in Multai Assembly segment of Betul assembly seat (ST reserved). According to the official dry days and holidays have been declared for areas covered by the repolling process.
Earlier,the election officials estimated a percentage turn out for the May 7 polls of Betul LS constituency as 72.65%
Among the nine seats going into polls across Madhya Pradesh on April 23rd are those of Betul.This phase will witness eight candidates including present BJP MP Durgadas Uikey against Congress MP Ramu Tekam.BJP has won this seat since 1996.
