Indian filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s next dare-devilish venture is an enthralling spy thriller by the name of Dhurandhar. His prior mythological project, The Immortal Ashwatthama, is now in abeyance but Dhar will not be idle. This will be a star-studded movie that brings together Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal for the very first time.

According to Pinkvilla report this action packed thriller is based on the Indian intelligence agencies. It will start shooting on 25th July 2024! The first leg of filming shall be in Thailand which is one of the major areas that deal with intelligence network interactions. “It’s a film set during the golden era of Indian Intelligence Agencies, coinciding with the rise of R&AW. After the international leg there are schedules in India and UAE,” said the insider source. Based on real events from R&AW’s annals a screenplay was created.

Although there isn’t an official title yet, recently stakeholders gathered together for photo shoot. In addition to this information given below: “Ranveer is excited to explore espionage through Aditya Dhar. Also Sanjay Dutt plays the role of antagonist while Ranveer Singh (Dadhania), Akshaye Khanna (Sanik), R Madhavan (Mr.Basu) and Arjun Rampal (Alok Suryavanshi) represents Indian intelligence.”

Character authenticity required all actors to go through intense look tests so they could resemble actual life agents from their appearance and demeanour. With joy, our informant stated that Uri’s success made it ideal sequel for writer-director Aditya Dhar. Who has always been fascinated by spies and believes it will resonate globally among viewers. At the same time Ranveer is equally excited to re-team with Dhar for another project. The movie will be in cinemas during the second half of 2025. It will have a filming period of six months.

Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar are producing Dhurandhar through their banner B62 Studios. However, they are also working with a big studio on this film.

Reports suggest that Dhurandhar has an immense budget and unprecedented scale of shooting. This film would be shot mostly in India as well as other foreign countries implying a global angle or action scenes set in unique international locations.
