Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 has been subject to further postponement which makes its fans unhappy. The last report on the movie indicated that shooting would finally commence this August, however, January 2025 was given as the new commencement date. Nonetheless, News 18 further reports that the schedule has been pushed even further owing to Farhan Akhtar’s role in the movie 120 Bahadur, based on the battle of Rezang in the 1962 Indo-china war.
Farhan, who is going to enact the role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC, hinted his first look on his Instagram account stating that the shoot for 120 Bahadur had in fact commenced. One such source told the publication, “Farhan wishes to pay his dues with regard to the 120 Bahadur film prior to turning his attention to Don 3 film. Since the shoot for the former will take several months, the Don 3 schedule has been pushed forward by around 4 months and is now expected to commence in the month of May-June 2025.”
Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani occupied with other projects
Fans have been looking forward to seeing Ranveer Singh essaying the timeless character of Don, better yet fans have to be content, as the actor is simply working on other things at the moment. He has an untitled project in which he plays a lead role and that is being directed by Aditya Dhar, which is creating quite a buzz at this time. Now Kiara Advani, who is also a cast member of Don 3, is occupied with the shooting of War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. This postponement in the production of Don 3 also buys both actors extra time to finish up their existing projects.
Mixed reactions over Ranveer’s casting as Don
A new speculation around Ranveer Singh playing the lead role in the third sequel of ‘Don’ stirred up the storm on the internet. Some fans approved of this new casting while some were disheartened by the fact that Shah Rukh would not don the hat of ‘Don’ once more. Despite this polemic reception of the Ram Gopal Varma’s film Don 3, the expectation from Don 3 remains solid, with many wanting to know how Ranveer will adapt to the legendary role.
Farhan Akhtar’s other Directorial projects face delays
Farhan’s directing activities have faced several delays, this is not the case with Don 3 only. Ridhi Dogra stated that her long discussed project Jee Le Zaraa, which is a road-trip film based on female bonding with PriYanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt as leads, has also been shelved. Ji Le Zaraa was the film that Karan Johar’s film that went through many ups and downs during production and scheduling. Alia Bhatt in an earlier interview said that that since there are so many schedules surrounding the film, there is no compulsion on the intention to make it. She said, “Everything has its time, patience to wait for everything to come together is the only way.”
